HIP HOP IN
THE PARK
WHAT IS HIP HOP IN THE PARK?
Hip Hop For Change is proud to present our Hip Hop In The Park Initiative in partnership with India Basin Waterfront Park, California Arts Council, and The San Francisco Foundation. Our goal is to develop culture bearers and Hip Hop arts practitioners within the Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhood through a series of events, performances, workshops and activations within Bayview/Hunters Point Area parks and open spaces open to the entire community. Through the use of Hip Hop Pedagogy and Cultural Responsiveness we aim to raise awareness about access to local park spaces and engage youth in the cultural contributions of locals and their history.
